IE Problem

Since yesterday I've been having a problem with the ie browser. For some reason or another I can't open up multiple browsers. For instance when I open one and then attempt to open another, the second one takes the place of the original browser window (so anything I was looking at is gone and my homepage comes up). I've ran Adaware and Spybot and I didn't have one single problem... this has left me completely confused and I wondered if anyone else had any idea what is going on and possibly how to fix it?
