when i left for italy my computer was in tip top shape ... it was runnin perfect ... when i return after about 2 weeks it does this...

looks like a virus of some type to me cuz i dont think thats the kinda message u get from windows. Its just a wild guess though. U need to ask McCord, he'll prolly know.

I'm sure it is some virus. What AV software are you running? Also, what does that say anyway? The pic is to small and I can't read it...

well im runnin mcafee VS 7...... the black box in the middle reads " SYSTEM STOPPED.. then System has been stopped due to a serious malfuction. Spyware activity has been detecte. It is recommended to use a spyware removal tool to precent data loss. Do not use the computer before all spyware removed."

and when i open my display properties the only tabs i have are.. Screen saver and settings... i did a full system scan and all updated scans with ad aware and spybot ... i dont know what to do.

Not to be an ass or anything, but I'm sure it is from something that you should have not installed on your computer or from something that was downloaded using some sort of illegal down-loader.

You will probably have to wipe the system and start over...

i dont know.. i havent installed anything for quite a a while... it was fine.. when i left for italy.. i come back 2 weeks later and it has the thing called spy sherrif on it and the background is screwed up...

well my mom swears that no one was upstairs the whole time... and they dont know my password.... i just find it really strange that stuff could get installed without anyone using it... well anyways i guess i need to buy another HDD to back up my movies so i can format my HDD... but i really dont have the money right now....

id let u use some of mine but im on a Action movie Ripping/ Divx run right now...20 some moveis in 3 days

maybe over the blackbarry u can bring ur pc over sometime and we could "get-r-done"..i still have about 170gb left on both of my HDD's combined.

that should hold ur stuff nicely...and then that way i might be about to get my hands on a few more movies befor i go off to college lol
