Yea, im down to my last option on my friend's xbox. Theres a number on his mobo called the EEPROM and i need that to lock the hard drive to that mobo (microsofts lance bass security feature). I found a way to di it with some soldering and what not. So since the guy's fu-ked anyways he's gonna let me do it. So anyhow, i think i'll get a small solderin iron and try it. the part i run into is the software side of it. I dont know how to "load the i2c kernel modules for your particular machine". Any idea how to do that with a compaq? Heres the link to the site im using:
