ok so me an my buddy across the way are building a wireless network with our can's so heres some pics.

Note: we have never made one, and note we could not fin any N type female connecters or for that manner anything n type. so u made our own our of coax cable.

with this sorry build of a cantenna we get a good range of 250. (that was with our first one.

our second with better handling and and manufacturing. gives us range up to 300 - 320

(both were direct line of sight when our walls were in the way it really cut the signal down)

so our net work is up running and has no internet, it is a free filesharing network, and it works.

what i want to know is if i have my wireless router what would we need to have the network have a repeter....?? to increase our range and not battle each other with the same wireless....?

very nice cantenna... i donder if you could get one to wonder if you could get one to work about 500 feet ....?? if so id like to have one for sending wireless to our building...

you might want to check your connection to your router... mine came loose earlier today and well you know how crappy our connectors are..

I already did it wasnt it... i think when it got wet is made the cardboard brake up and the conductivity fail on the out side. but i think i does still do a little, although we did have 100 ft of coax going like fire so 12 feet should be alright.

now that we found that firmware i just need to get ahold of an older version of that router and we should be able to bridge things correctly
