the intel heatshink is qoute ford "one of the best heatsinks out there, if not the best.." something along those lines i know its better then the heatpipe mix i have. (i guess, i dont have a temp reader for the heatsink just the graphics card) but i can feel the heat coming off it and wow its kinda hot. maybe 56 57*C

so maybe an overclock to umm 3.4 or 3.6 u can do

(i dontk now to much about CPU overclocking i just got into the world of Graphics OCing, and i have an intel mobo so i cant OC the CPU anyways
That may be the reason i have a 3.4)

that looks cool. If I ever ge my new comp I will probaly take up modding. I might get a different case though because the one I am considering is to pretty and black to mod. Maybe it would look cool.
Thanks for the help. one last question. What kind of cooling do you have? like do you have exhaust fans and intake or all intake or like nothing because it is Dell?

WELL....i have won loudest dell of the year lol, stock comes with one 92mm out for cooling the processor....BUT ford and i put in 2 TD's one replacing the out for the CPU Heatpipe, and one as an intake in the front that is held in place by two or 3 zip tie's. and both were under the control of a vantec 3'5 fan control.

after to much nosie and some testing i was getting the same temps with the out take being the 92 and the TD so i took the TD out to protect my hearing lol

My plan...Soon(like next week)! is to have a Aspire dreamer 2 Black case i have a rear 120 and i have two td and the case comes with 20 80's and i have a 80 setting around the house doing nothing

so all the case fans would be out takes thanks to having a dam heatpipe heatsink, the TD's act as intakes, the 120 is and out as well the 90 i have i will mod to the front and act as an intake and the the 80 that does nothing will be the fresh air fan for my graphics card like the ford and ricer have. that is unless ford think i should set it up differently..??

wow. I am running an AMD K6-2 at 300Mhz with a 100Mhz fsb. Just in case anyone is wondering what I am running but Iit is capable of an overclock of like 450 with the jumpers and all. I don't know if I will actually hit that speed but who knows. lol. It even has an AGPx2 card in it. I don't have any siding on my case but even after hours I don't really feel any heat.
I just got done putting together a computer for someone that has a pentium @ 133Mhz and the chip is soo old that it has a price tag of $1.200.00 on it. The mobo is like 12 years old but I was nice enough to even upgrade the bios. lol. It's going for $100 with a monitor sound card/ modem and even some speakers. And that is what I have been doing all summer.

ok so I was browsing corsair and it is tru that the RAM I want is rated at
DDR2 1000 ( PC2 8000) I wonder if Its worth it because I don't think I will be hitting 2000FSB. that is a 30Ghz overclock. sorry just had to comprehand RAM that fast. And I could not overclock the FSB and run at a divisor of 1:5. lol. I know this really fits in the overclocing thread but I just wanted to reassure about the fact that there is 1000Mhz speed. Awesome
